**ATTENTION** Due to the ever changing laws for teenagers ages 15-17 years old, we recommend that you join our teen program before the law gets more strict as the current (9 month) law will not be changed this year. The secretary of state is trying to make the laws more strict for next year as new legislations/bills are created.
**We have been advised by the Secretary of State that we are able to take students who haven't finished their behind the wheel or classroom at CPS Drivers Education which was recently halted. Contact us for more information.**

Our teen program is basically a four week course Monday thru Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Once in our program you will receive 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind the wheel driving. There is also 6 hours of observation which consists of having students observe their partner's driving. Students ages 15-18 are able to join the teen program and receive their permit.
The 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of BTW/observation are the minimum requirements of the Secretary of State. We also provide a alternative package for those that want more hours at the discounted price; which is 10 hours of behind the wheel driving and 30 hours of classroom.Students will receive their permits after passing the written exam approximately 10 days into classroom instruction. The trip to the DMV for permits will be free. Students will need $20 to obtain their permits payable to the Secretary of State. Additional hours of behind the wheel driving are available at a separate cost. Coupons are available on a random basis on the contact us page for the teen program.
The new law requires students under the age of 18 to hold their permit for 9 months before receiving their license. This law applies to anyone receiving their permit after 01/01/08. The law applies to all driving schools and highschools in Illinois with a driver's ed program.
We also specialize in helping teens who already have classroom instruction and just need to obtain 6 hours behind the wheel and their certificate of completion. Please call for pricing. We provide CPS Drivers Ed students with this service as well.
